Barrister Temitope Akogun Foundation has expressed its commitment to put smile in the faces of no fewer than 220 markets women in 11 selected market across Irepodun Local Government.
This was announced in a press statement signed by the President of the foundation, Barrister Temitope Akogun, on Wednesday.
Akogun stated that the project is aimed at providing safe water through Borehole projects across eleven communities in Irepodun Local Government which is scheduled to kick off in February and is expected to end in December 2021.
He wrote: “It’s with an extremely fulfilling sense of commitment and an altruistic community spirit I announce to the public the BTA Foundation Foundation STEP UP 2021 and OPERATION SAFE WATERprojects in Irepodun Local Government of Kwara state.
“By the special Grace of God, under these community service initiatives, BTA Foundation will be providing safe water through our Borehole projects across eleven (11) communities in Irepodun Local Government starting from February to December 2021.
“The Foundation would as well be supporting our community MARKET SMALL SCALE BUSINESSES in business branding and capital support.”
According to him, BTA Foundation under the STEP UP 2021 concept also hopes to provide for women whose businesses require between N10,000 to N20,000 to improve daily business activities while youths who have existing small businesses requiring expertise engagement like branding, client-customer sourcing, digital marketing and moderate capital support would be eligible beneficiaries of this initiative.
“Baring any changes, the Foundation initiatives are set to commence in February and run through December 2021.
“Further details on the modalities for participation, implementation and any other pertinent information would be released by the Project Planning Committee in a few days,” he added.
