A chieftain of the Kwara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, Akogun Iyiola Oyedepo, has decried the irregularities in the ongoing registration and revalidation exercise of the party.
Akogun, via a post on his Facebook timeline on Thursday, accused that the exercise did not follow due process.
He wrote: “No registration/revalidation exercise in the following LGAs in Kwara State: Ifelodun, Offa, Oyun, Ilorin West, South, East and Moro. Even in those places where the excercise took place it did not follow the guideline or due process.
“It was either note books were taken for register and registration slip. There was no place in Kwara State that the registration lasted for three days for a program of two weeks.”
He accused thet is only in Kwara State that non registration/revalidation of members is believed to be a mechanism to strengthen the Party.
“I believe that some people just want to take the ownership of APC in Kwara, even if it will not win elections. We are watching a political novelty in Kwara State,” he added.46
