Former Senate President Bukola Saraki and his younger sister, Senator Gbemisola Ruqayat Saraki appears to have set their differences aside to participate in the prayer that was organised for their late father who also doubled as the strongman of Kwara politics. A development that appears to have set tongues waggling in the ancient city of Ilorin.
The duo were known to have sustained a feudal relationship for over a decade since the decision of the former Governor to support Alhaji Abdul Fatah Ahmed against his blood sister in the race to determine who succeeds the former Senate President as Governor in 2011.
At the prayer being organised by kwarans, the siblings displayed filial affection by heartily hugging each other, a scenery that had evaded the siblings in a long while.
Bukola Saraki is the Leader of the Opposition PDP while Gbemisola Saraki is a serving Minister under the Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling APC.462
