Bukola Saraki eschews Politics, Marks his predecessor’s 14th Anniversary memorial

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki on Sunday afternoon remembered the loss of his predecessor in office as the Executive Governor of Kwara State.

The former governor in a tweet prayed for the repose of his soul and that Almighty Allah grant former Governor Mohammed Alabi Lawal Aljannah Firdaos.

The tweet reads, ‘Today, on the 14th year of his passing, I remember one of my predecessors, Alhaji Mohammed Lawal — who was Governor of Kwara State between 1999 and 2003. I pray that Almighty Allah will continue to grant him a place in AlJannah Firdaus.

Mohammed Alabi Lawal, a retired Rear Admiral with the Nigerian Navy and served as Governor of Kwara state between 1999 and 2003. He was well known for his running battle with Dr Olusola Saraki, a feud that eventually led to his ouster at the polls.

He was aged 60.
