The Central Bank of Nigeria and Nigerian Postal Service have concluded plans to begin operation of their Microfinance Bank in Offa.
The Microfinance Bank which is scheduled to take off in October, 2020 will add to the retinue of Federal Government establishments in Offa.
This statement was contained in the Bulletin released by the National Public Relation Officer of Offa Descendant Union ( O.D.U), Mr Maruf Olalekan Ajenifuja on Sunday.
”The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN partners with NIPOST, using the National Microfinance Bank as a mechanism, to provide financial intermediation to the lower segment of the society, thereby enhancing access to lending at cheaper rates for agricultural purposes and commerce in general for our people”.
”NIPOST has provided the land within their office premises at Owode Market for the bank building which has been completed under the active supervision of our vibrant, able and capable son of the soil, Engr. B. G. Ibrahim, the Dean, Special Duties, Federal Polytechnic, Offa”.
He reinstated that O.D.U. strongly appreciates the powerful and profound forces behind the scene that made the choice of Offa as a location a reality.200
