Eight years remembrance: Saraki eulogizes father, Returns to Ilorin

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has eulogised the memory of his father and the strongman of Kwara politics, Dr. Olusola Saraki who died eight years ago at the prime age of 79.

Saraki in a series of tweets, described his father as one who taught him and his siblings the essence of community development, patriotism and selflessness.

In another related development, former Governor Bukola Saraki will be hosting a special prayer for his late father in Ilorin today (Saturday). The politician who only returned to Nigeria after the defeat he suffered at the 2019 polls will also be visiting Ilorin for the first time since the last National Elections.

Highlights of his homecoming include, the 25th Anniversary celebration of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari on his ascension to the throne.

As the leader of the PDP in Kwara state, Dr. Bukola Saraki is expected to meet his political lieutenants and associates, a development that has caused bitter bickering between the two major parties in the state.
