Gbemi Saraki rejoices as University of Kigali Management appoints Kwaran as Dean

The management of the University of Kigali in Rwanda has appointed an indigene of Kwara State, Professor Abdulrasak Oniye as the Dean of the School of Education.

The Minister of State for Transportation, Gbemisola Saraki, in a congratulatory message, felicitated with Professor Oniye over his new appointment.

“With this in mind, I am happy to rejoice with Professor Abdulrazak Oniye and his family on his new appointment by the Council of the University of Kigali in Rwanda as “Dean of the School of Education,” she wrote.

It was learnt that Prof. Oniye competed with other professors from Nigeria, South Africa and Namibia and was unanimously chosen by the Council of the University.

The Minister said, quoting a verse in the Quran: “Help one another in acts of piety and righteousness. And do not assist each other in acts of sinfulness and transgression. And be aware of Allah.” (Quran 5:2).

“I must thank Alhaji Nurudeen for bringing this opportunity to our attention and for his usual support. This is a big achievement for our country Nigeria, and a big achievement for Ilorin community and Kwara State at large,” she added.

She prayed that the new Dean will excel in this position and showcase the best of what Nigeria as a nation has to offer the world. “May Almighty Allah guide you, protect you as you embark on this journey,” she said.
