No fewer than 3 people have been reportedly injured as Muslim and Christian faithful protested at Baptist School, Surulere area of Ilorin following the reopening of the affected schools over hijab controversy.
To arrest the tense situation over a looming religion crisis in Kwara State, men of the Nigeria Police Force, on Wednesday, fired tear gas to disperse both Christian and Muslim protesters demonstrating at Surulere area of the State Capital.
The State Government gave directive, on Tuesday evening, that the 10 affected grant-aided schools should resume today.
Harmony Times observed, this morning, that the schools complied with the state government directive as all students were allowed into the school premises to receive lectures.
It was also observed that normalcy has returned as protesters have vacate the street of Surulere following the intervention of the law enforcement.334
