Igbomina Professor, Bode Odetunde appointed Vice Chancellor in Lagos

Prof. Bode Odetunde, a professor of Aeronautics and Aeronautical Engineering has been appointed, Vice Chancellor of St. Augustine University, Lagos state.

Prof Odetunde, a native of Oro had his secondary education at St. John’s College, Kaduna before proceeding to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the United States between 1973 and 1975. He subsequently earned his Postgraduate education at the Iowa State University, Texas A&M University and Southeastern Institute of Technology, Alabama.

The Igbomina prodigy was responsible for the establishment of the Department of Aeronatics & Aeronautical Engineering at the Kwara State University where he subsequently emerged as Head of Department and Dean, College of Engineering of the same University but was controversially egged out of the VC-ship race, a process that received wide criticism across board.

On his part, the First Vice President of the Igbomina Professionals Association described his appointment as a justification of his credibility, administrative prowess and brilliance.

St. Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, Lagos state is a Private owned University that was established in 2015 with over 19 billion naira by the Catholic Church in Lagos led by Cardinal Okojie
