Ilorin among top 20 Nigeria cities by purchasing power, statistics reveals

Statistics published by the Lagos State Government Household Survey has revealed that Ilorin sits 18th on the log of top 20 cities in Nigeria by purchasing power.

The statistics, given the number of households in thousands, showed that the Kwara State capital has 327,000 to occupy the 18th spot.

Lagos top the list with 5,501,000 households, followed by Port Harcourt with 3,525,000. Adrift the city of Port Harcourt is Ibadan who sits third with 1,415,000.

Abuja occupies the 4th spot with 1,246,000, while Onitsha, Kano, and Warri maintain the 5th, 6th, and 7th position with 1,079,000, 993,000, and 846,000 respectively.

Other cities that made the cut include; Uyo, Nsukka, Owerri, Kaduna, Aba, Ijebu Ode, Enugu, Ilobu, Jos, Ife, Ilorin, Oshogbo, and Okene.
