The Consultant and Anchor for Kwara State Social Investment Programme KWASSIP, Mohammed Brimah will be live on Sóbí FM (101.9) tomorrow to discuss the progress of the programme.
According to information obtained by Harmony Times, Mohammed will be appearing on tomorrow’s episode of Ijoba Awa Arawa by 10am to specifically discuss the ongoing disbursement of Owó Ìṣòwò and Kwarans with questions on the scheme are enjoined to tune in.
Recall that earlier in April, Kwara state Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq on flagged- off the social investment programme patterned after Federal Government’s National Social Investment Programme (N-SIP) for the informal sector in the state.
The programme which was designed to give financial support to the less privileged people operating at the informal level in the state was flaged -off at Government Secondary School, Ìlọrin.
At the launching, the Governor had said that the soft loans under the programme was scheduled to come later in the year, but due to the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic that forced government to declare a total lockdown in the state, they had to adjust and bring it forward in order to relieve them of effects of the lockdown that had crippled their businesses.
Similarly, it was revealed in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ràfíù Àjàkáyé last week, that 21,623 persons were enummerated to benefit from the interest-free loan of a minimum of N10,000 of which beneficiaries are to pay back over six months in bits that are comfortable to them.137
