The Kwara State Government, through the State Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, will on Thursday organize stakeholders meeting for rabbits farmers in the state to address the deadly Rabbit Haemorrhagic Disease.
The training is in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and supported by the Kwara state chapter of the Nigerian Veterinary Medical Association, AFENET and the Foundation for Improved Health and Disease Demographics.
The programme tagged “Stakeholders Sensitization Workshop on The Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Outbreak in Kwara State” is scheduled to hold on Thursday at the ConferenceRoom of the ministry’s headquarter along old Jebba road, Ilorin, by 11am.
The training is coming at the heels of the recent outbreak of the disease in the state along side Oyo state.
According to the organizers, the stakeholders meeting is expected to guide rabbit farmers on the latest means of combating the scourge that has ravaged the rabbit industry in the state.347
