Offa Kidnapping: Family raises N2m as abductors demand N30m

The family of the abducted Offa businessman, Lukman Ibrahim, has disclosed that his abductors have contacted them and demanded a sum of a N30million as random.

A reliable family source who pleaded anonymity confirmed this on Monday. The source added that the family has only been able to raised N2million.

Lukman’s wife, Hawwau, lost her life in the hand of these kidnappers during the Saturday kidnap on their way home along Ojoku road.

He said: “They have asked the family to pay N30m ransom, but we have only been able to raise N2m which was rejected.

“They insisted that it must be N30 or nothing. We have continued to plead with them while running around to see what can be done.

“We have already lost a pregnant woman for that matter, Hawa, who was injured in a stray bullet when the abductors were shooting randomly during the operation,” he added.

The state police PRO, Ajayi Okasanmi, said the command is working round the clock to get the victim rescued.
