Olofa of Offa Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi has sent congratulatory message to the Alaafin of Oyo on his 50 years coronation ceremony. In his message, emphasized that their is no need for an epistle as the name of Alaafin commands utmost respect among Yoruba race and beyond.
“Let the Iya ilu and sekere collaborate to sing melody of praise as we rejoice with the people of Oyo kingdom for this golden Jubilee celebration” Olofa said.
He further described the Oyo monarch as a great custodian of Yoruba culture and guardian of Yoruba heritage who has been doing it for 50 years on the throne.
According to the Principal Private Secretary to Olofa, a personal message sent by Olofa of Offa to Alaafin of Oyo reads: ““Warm wishes to my father, Iku baba yeye, Igbakeji Orisa, the great king and paramount ruler of Oyo Kingdom as he celebrates the golden jubilee anniversary of ascension of the enviable and highly revered throne of Oyo Kingdom. Evidently, Oyo has witnessed a lot of growths and transformations during his reign and I pray for a continued peaceful and productive reign for many years to come. Long life, good health and inclined wisdom are my prayers for him. Happy 50th anniversary to the great monarch of class” .165
