The Kwara State Police Command has nabbed a young man in his early Twenties along Ajase Ipo-Ilorin road for being in possession of human body parts during a routine stop and search of vehicles by members of Operation Harmony on the ever busy road.
According to details obtained from the Police, as the members of the task force were searching the vehicle, a young man took to his heels and escaped the scene, a suscpicion that led the team into searching all the individuals and bags that was on board the bus.
It was while the search was on that human body parts were found on one 24 years old John Kehinde Moses who was immediately arrested. He confessed to have killed the victim who was simply identified as Mohammed for ritual purposes.
In his response, The Kwara State Police Chief, Mohammed Lawal Bagega has cautioned criminal elements to stay clear of the State as the command will do all within it’s purview to get rid of such elements in the State of Harmony.
He further directed the Homicide section of the State Police Command to arrest all persons involved in the heinous crime.565
