According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye on Tuesday, Abdulrahman described the CSO as a dignitary whose universally acknowledged achievements are a gold standard for diplomats and academics alike.
The statement read: “On behalf of the people and government of Kwara State, I congratulate the Chief of Staff to Mr. President, a global statesman, and a quintessential patriot, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari on the occasion of his 76th birthday.
“Professor Gambari’s universally acknowledged achievements are a gold standard for diplomats and academics alike.
“He is a prolific author whose inspiring scholarship in governance, peace building, and diplomacy holds true today and for generations to come.”
Abdulrazaq therefore prayed to Almighty Allah to continue to guide and guard Prof. Gambari who is not only a pride of Ilorin, his home town, but Kwara State and the nation as a whole. “His unique achievements are anchored on integrity, courage, and sportsmanship,” he added.
“We beseech Allah to see Prof. through the delicate assignment of being the Chief of Staff to Mr. President as He has done to him in his previous assignments as a global statesman, and to give him good health and long life.
“We commend Prof. Gambari for his support to the Otoge administration back home in Kwara State, and our administration continues to look forward to his wise counsel as we execute the business of rebuilding the state along with other critical stakeholders,” he concluded.
