Updated: Why Abdulrazaq dissolved Executive council less than One year after Inauguration

The Kwara State Governor has officially dissolved the State Executive Council barely one year after their inauguration and details are now emerging on the decision taken by the Governor.

This is coming at the heels of an earlier report by HarmonyTimes concerning the termination of the appointment of all Commissioners and Special Advisers.

In a letter signed by the SSG and dated December 31,2020 that was obtained by HarmonyTimes, the Governor thanked the cabinet members for contributing to the success of his administration and subsequently informed them of the dissolution of the State Executive Council while wishing them well in their future endeavours.

In a related development, a political actor within the ruling All Progressives Congress that craved anonymity disclosed that the dissolution of the Cabinet was a condition handed to the Governor for Peace to return to the ruling party in the state amidst the Governor’s quest to seek reelection in 2023 as he had lost the entire structure in the state.
