Yuletide: Kwara APC caretaker chair urges Christians to pray, self-restraint amid new Covid-19 strain

The Caretaker Chairman of the Kwara All Progressive Congress, APC, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa has called on Christians faithfuls to offer fervent prayers for the state and the nation, and to embrace self restraint instead of wild celebration at Christmas.

Bolarinwa, in a press release signed by his media aide, Ayo Abegunde opined that the times we are in now calls for prayers, sober reflection, and self-restraint.

The statement thread: “Nigerians irrespective of religion must continue to pray for peace, end to insurgency , banditry and an end to the recent spike in Covid -19 pandemic.

“At a time like this that we are rationally supposed to be jubilating and celebrating the birth of Christ, we must also reflect on the imperative of prayers for our nation and the need to be cautious according to the new directives of Government on stemming the tide of covid-19.”

He therefore wished Christian brethren a rewarding and fulfilling Yuletide and a prosperous new year to all Kwarans.
